About Pirate Island Divers

Pirate Island Divers Inc. is a Florida Corporation formed in 1999.  We provide professional, low cost, dive training, equipment sales/service, and dive travel services.  Our mission is to provide the best value and the most fun possible for our customers. 

We are doing our best to shift how you, the consumer, views the traditional “local” dive shop. We use the latest technology, the Internet, and Social Networking to make you feel closer to the resort and our staff wherever you may be at the moment. When you do arrive, we want you to feel comfortable and that you already know the crew. We hope this makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Meet Our Seadogs, Wenches and Pirates...

Brian Napier Brian is a USCG Master Captain and a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.  Brian is also the President of Pirate Island Divers.

Idelsy Napier Idelsy has been with us from the beginning and is our Store Manager and VP. She was born in the Dominican Republic and has lived all over the Caribbean.

Tyler Wilson Tyler is a veteran of Pirate Island Divers, a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and our Assistant Manager and Marketing Manager. Look for him teaching, leading dives and taking care of our guests on the boat.

Robert Eich Bob, a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, made his way to the Keys via Arizona. Look for him teaching and aboard SeaStar making sure everyone has a great time.

Scott Fowler Scott is our lead USCG Master Captain and knows just about everything about the Reefs of Key Largo. Scott has been instructing and driving everything that floats for 14 years. PID is proud to have him on board.

Beth Reedy Beth is our True California Girl and Master Scuba Diver Trainer. She comes to us from the Lake Tahoe area of California. She is always full of energy, loves nature, and being underwater.

Matt Whittaker Our newest USCG Captain and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. He also teaches courses from several other agencies. Look for him teaching classes and having fun in the Florida sunshine.

Maddison Connell One of our PADI Open Water Instructors, she is originally from Chicagoland. Maddison got smart and moved south and has been here for the last 5 years. You will find her smiling face in the shop and teaching scuba.

Jamie Stack Originally from Connecticut, Jamie just finished an internship with the Reef Foundation and is our resident Lionfish expert and a PADI Divemaster. Look for her on the boat or managing our Beach Hut.

Rick Murphy Investigators have not been able to determine much about "The Black Manta" but we do know that he is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and an all around great instructor and a valued crew member.
